Gardens, Cherry Limeade Cookies, and a Free Farmhouse Printable

Hey, y'all! :) Is it hot where you live? We're sweltering down here. At least we're still having rain showers from time to time. That helps a bit.

So, did you see this free printable from Laura at Finding Home?

Isn't it darling? I thought it was such a cute summer addition to my kitchen. Click HERE to get yours.

I snapped a few quick pics of my backyard today...

natchez crepe myrtle

The Crepe Myrtles are going strong and the grass is loving all the rain.

Don't let those pretty pics fool you though...it's HOT back there! After it rained yesterday, there was steam coming off the concrete.

One more thing. If you're local, you MUST try these cookies at HEB...

cherry limeade cookies

Oh. My. Goodness. They're good! They totally taste like a cherry limeade at Sonic! They're only available for a limited time, so I'm thinking I might need to stock up. ;)

Hope y'all have a great weekend!

  1. Your yard looks beautiful! Grass always likes rain so you're lucky right now. We are HOT here too! However, we're not getting much rain. It's raining but not much at MY house. The storms keep going north or south of us. So, I'm still having to water the garden. Those cookies look interesting. I've never heard of that flavor combination before. I love those drinks at Sonic though.

  2. Your yard is amazing and that crepe myrtle is stunning. We've had so much rain here too...in fact it rained last night. I love it because it has been so desolate for the last few years.

  3. Well, don't be surprised if you see that printable show up in my kitchen, because it is really cute and I plan on copying it! I've never had the cherry limeade, but they sound really good! Our obsession right now, are the Lemon Oreos! They are soooo good, you just can't stop eating them....that's why we seldom buy them! Wow, your backyard looks so pretty, Lisa! We no longer have grass in our yard, but we get to "visually" enjoy the common areas in our neighborhood. Bermuda grass thrives on heat and little water.

  4. You yard looks so pretty. Even with all the heat your yard looks gorgeous. My mom has a crepe myrtle in her yard and they are really so pretty when they are in bloom. Yours is stunning. Have a great week end.

  5. That is a cute printable. You would never know it was that hot to look at your yard. It looks GREAT! Sadly, I will never know what those cookies taste like because we don't even have a Sonic here. xo Diana

    1. Thanks, Kim! We really can't enjoy the outdoors until October when things cool down a bit. We pretty much stay inside in the a/c all summer long. Lol! Hope you have a great week!

  7. LOVE that printable!! So perfect for the kitchen!!

I could look at pictures of our garden for days! It's so pretty! My hubby bought me a couple of hydrangea bushes but I'm not sure if they will survive our summers over here. I think I'll cry if they die :(

The highest temperature we've had was 105 on Thursday...today was only 98 but it was overcast and muggy which just feels gross.

    Have a fabulous week friend!
