A World Market Tip and Milani Blush

I was looking at the buffet and hutch in my kitchen the other day and realized how it almost looks as if it was custom built just for this corner of my kitchen. Love that! It was purchased at World Market and I still love it as much as I did the day I bought it.

That got me thinking that I've never shared a little World Market tip with you. Did y'all know they have a thing called "product alerts?" If you see an item you like online, you can click on the "get price alerts" button (it's usually right next to the "add to cart" button) and enter your email address and they'll email you when the item goes on sale. That's it! So simple! Most items have this feature and it's so nice to let them keep track of it for you.

I used this trick this Christmas when I spotted a cute set of dish towels for $20. I didn't want to pay that much, so I put a product alert on it. Sure enough, they emailed me every time it went on sale. Those dish towels went all the way down to $5 by the end of the season and I never would have known that if I hadn't activated the product alert because it wasn't ever advertised publicly.

Speaking of products, I found a new blush I really like. It's Milani brand Baked Blush in "Dolce Pink" color.

Milani Baked Blush ~ Walmart

I heard about it from a friend on Instagram. She said it's similar to NARS blush and the best part is that it's only $6.97 at Walmart! I tried it and love it! It has a bit of a sparkle to it, but in my opinion, it's just right. You have to really look to detect any sparkles, but they still leave a nice touch.

Here's another (unedited) pic of it in natural light...

Okay, that's all I've got for today. Y'all have a nice week!

  1. Wow, I had no idea you could sign up for sale alerts at World Market!!! I will be sure to do that next time I see something I really like. The cabinet is absolutely perfect in your kitchen :o)

  2. Fun! The sale alerts thing is great! I'll be signing up for that, definitely.

I've been in a makeup mood lately. About three weeks ago I went to Ulta and bought a few things. I've never done that and it was fun!! :)

  3. World Market?? Really? That piece looks like you picked it up in a custom shop! Gorgeous!

  4. Your hutch is such a beautiful piece. Perfect for your kitchen. I didn't know know about the alerts. Thanks for letting us know! Enjoy your day. Maria

  5. I did not know that tip about World Market. Thanks for sharing that! I will have to try that out. Thanks for the blush recommendation too. It really looks so pretty. I always covet your makeup recommendations!

  6. Thanks for the tip! I had no idea that was available online! You're right, that hutch was made for that space!
That blush looks gorgeous! I love baked blushes and I'm on the lookout for a new spring one (not that I need another one but hey) so I will see if I can find it at Target.

  7. I love your hutch, Lisa, and I love World Market. I will definitely get the app.

I also love your product reviews...very helpful. I've seen the Milani brand at drugstores, just wasn't sure how they were. I've been looking for a blush that lasts more than 3 hours. I am so pale and get so frustrated when I look bare so fast. I researched a ton of products and found Tarte Amazonian Baked Blush. Sounds like it's much like yours. A little more expensive but I'm really happy with it. Lots of makeup have brightening ingredients and I like that for blush and highlighting. I'm a makeup junkie but I do my research. Do you know about Birchbox? I've been a member for two years. You get a small box of larger than normal samples every month for $10. I find many things that work for me and when you order from them you get a huge discount. LOVE it!

  8. Thanks for sharing about world market sale notices..

  9. I didn't know that about World Market ~ thanks so much for sharing! I've been looking at that blush so it's nice to know you like it. What would we do without our "reviews" and recommendations? :)

I love hearing from all of you! I try to respond to all comments and questions via email as quickly as possible. If you are a no-reply comment blogger (no email address) I will respond in the comments section, so be sure to check back for a response. :)
