More Fall Changes

Well y'all...I've already made a few changes since I posted my Fall Home Tour. No surprise there, huh? :)

Here's what the buffet looked like in my kitchen before...

See that wire basket? It was empty and I just felt like it needed a little something.

I had these three little faux plants from Michael's. They were bought on clearance a few years ago for next to nothing.

I decided to pop them in the bottom basket and add a white pumpkin to the top.

Here's a closer look...

You really can't see the pumpkin on top since it's white. Oh well. :)

I'll probably change it up again before the end of the season. :)

Here's a closer look at the white pumpkin. It was orange when I bought it and I spray painted it and rubbed some watered down brown acrylic paint on it.

Here's another quick change I made. I added this little fall sign to the end table. You can probably spot my other change in the background.

Yep, I added this cute pumpkin crate to these shelves.

That little squished pumpkin is one of my favorites. :)

Well, I guess that's all the changes for today. Hope y'all have a great day!

  1. Looks great! I really like the plants and pumpkin in the wire basket. :)

  2. I love the changes! The wire basket loos great :-)

    Happy Hump Day!

  3. That adds a nice bit of interest to the top of that piece, Lisa. Love that little squishy pumpkin, too. xo Diana

  4. Looks good!!! I love the technique you used to paint your pumpkin! I've yet to paint mine but I will be trying the watered down acrylic paint ;)

  5. I love the little plants added to the white wire basket. Everything looks so pretty. Hope you're finally getting some cooler weather down there in Texas!

  6. Hello, I must confess all my Fall decor is still in its tub, waiting to be put on the mantle. I would hope that the box would magically open and set it out as it pleased. But no tomorrow must be the day I get busy and get it put up before Christmas is here. I enjoyed my visit!
    Blessings, Roxy

  7. Lisa, I love all your changes/additions. It just keeps getting better and better. Great inspiration!

  8. I was going to suggest you paint the pumpkin but you already have! :) Everything looks wonderful and yes, like fall.

  9. Your changes are really cute, Lisa! I just had to giggle -- tweaking is just in the DNA of bloggers, don't you think?

  10. Looks like you've been having lots of fun switching things out. Love the plants in the wire basket.

  11. Love the changes and additions! I also like the way the wire basket looked when you had it on your dining room table as well. The tiered white wire against the wood on the table was a nice combination. I tend to do that a lot - just sit something in a place temporarily as I'm working on it, and I find that I actually like it there much better. We're all certainly master tweakers, aren't we? Your home looks so lovely and so ready for Fall!

    1. Thanks, Carolyn! I noticed the wire basket looked good there too! Great minds think alike!! Yep, we're all master tweakers! That's the fun of it, I think. :) I'm always fiddling with something. Enjoy your weekend!!

  12. I like your plate In everything give thanks. How beautiful!

  13. I LOVE those faux Michael's plants on the bottom with your simple white pumpkin on top - just exactly what that hutch needed. Greenery always works miracles, doesn't it?

Wondering what color you used for your spray painted pumpkin - it looks so real, one of the best painted pumpkins I've seen in blogland. Well done.

  14. I always love your d├ęcor Lisa! Such beautiful touches everywhere! I'm sure your home is so cozy with your fall decorations and that'll carry through to Christmas! Love all the pumpkins and that sign about giving thanks especially!

    1. Aww...thanks, friend! That sign is one of my favorites too. I'm sure you won't be surprised to know I got it on clearance at Kirklands for about $1. :) I do love my clearance finds. Lol!
