One Of My Favorite Purchases

Okay, so I thought I'd share one of my favorite purchases with y'all today. I actually got three emails last week asking where I bought this, so I decided to do a whole post about it.

So, here it is...it's my welcome sign with all these attachments!

Isn't it cute? I bought it at Lillian Vernon about 20 years ago, but sadly, I don't think it's available anymore.

The welcome sign can be used by itself or you can add one of the above attachments.

Mine are starting to look more "vintage" now. :) Maybe that means I'm vintage...hmm...

Here are some close ups of the individual ones. Love these for Christmas time.

After a long, hot summer, I'm usually itching to get these out in the Fall.

These always work well for the Summer.

I do have to say that I've never used the bird one below. I don't know why, but it's never graced the front porch. :) I do like the basket of flowers for Spring though.

And of course we have the jack-o-lantern for Halloween and the bunny for Easter. :)

I have a couple of options for the fourth of July and Memorial Day.

These are my favorites. Hearts for Valentine's Day, a birthday cake for all the birthdays we celebrate, and a leprechaun hat with some shamrocks for St. Patrick's Day.

Each sign has these little hooks at the top so you can hang it from the welcome sign.

If there's not an upcoming holiday, I usually leave it empty like this...

But as soon as a holiday is approaching, I pull out the appropriate sign, like this flag for the fourth of July.

Well, that's it for now. Do y'all have a favorite purchase you've made over the years? Do tell! Y'all have a great day!

  2. Gosh, I forgot all about Lillian Vernon! I used to receive their catalogs in the mail and enjoy flipping through them. I even ordered some things from them many years ago. I didn't even know they were still around. That sign is so cute. I like how you can change it up for the holidays so easily.

  7. Lisa, I can't believe I found this! I have the same sign and love the constant change. I would LOVE to have a pattern for back to school...August/September. I do have a nice one with the family name on it but I usually hang that one in January until Valentine's Day replaces it. Have you found any new patterns anywhere?
