Bubble Gum, Pizza and a Move

I remember seeing these adorable bubble gum machine ornaments on Instagram last year, but my Hobby Lobby was sold out. So imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon them...in July! Ha!

Isn't it adorable? I thought it was so cute, I had to get one. Glad I didn't miss out this year. Even though it was weird buying Christmas stuff in July.

This was my dinner the other day...

Would you like some pizza with your jalapenos, ma'am? Lol! What can I say...I like it spicy. :)

Since I'm sharing my dinners with you, this is what graced our table the next night...

Our local HEB has these Southwest chicken breasts that come 2 in a pack for only $4. The container is oven safe, so you just pop it in the oven and it's ready in about 25 minutes. We paired it with some garlic bread for a yummy meal for about $10 and it fed all four of us.  Have you checked your deli department for deals like this? I hear Fresh Market has a deal that's similar.

One more thing...remember awhile ago when I mentioned something cryptic about a move? Well, I wanted to wait until it was a for sure thing and now I can tell y'all that my mama is moving right next door to me!!! She and my stepdad moved away to Sugar Land about a dozen years ago...insert sad face. They were over an hour away from us and we finally convinced them to get back on our side of town. I'm so happy to have my mama back. :)

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Lisa, That is nice your mom is moving next door. I just told my daughter I wish we all lived in a big B&B , so we could all help each other and be closer. LOL. Then I could love on the little ones all I wanted. :):) That's a sweet ornament. My girls got a real gumball machine for Christmas one year and the neighbor kids would come buy gum...LOL I can't remember which girl took it when they grew up and left home. I have not seen it forever. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  3. While it's sad, I have to say, if you don't buy it in July when you do want it it will be gone! Grrrr. Have fun to have your mom so close!

I will have to look for that ornament. It is really cute and, apparently, I didn't even see them last year.

Have a wonderful, blessed Sunday- xo Diana

    1. Thanks, Jen! We're all so happy to have them close to us again. :) I think they're going to do a lot of work in the yard, so I'll be sure to share that on the blog. Her last house had beautiful gardens and I know she'll want to do the same here. Hope you have a great week!

  8. That is such an adorable ornament...do you think it's weird to do some Christmas in July shopping? I don't think it's weird, so there you go!

Wow, you do like spicy food! Not me, but it's nice to be able to add the heat when you want it.

I'm so happy for you and your momma! I wish I had had that kind of relationship with mine, but it just wasn't meant to be. Do you think the twins and Holly will get along? That could be interesting!
