This and That

Hello there! Hope everyone is having a great week!

I got a lot of questions/emails about this mug when I posted it here and on IG, so I thought I'd post another pic with more info...

It's from Target and was only $3.99. They have them in white and navy. I've heard a lot of Target stores are putting these on clearance now, so if you want one, I suggest you act quickly. :)

Here's a close up...

Speaking of good deals, I picked up these gift bags at Dollar Tree the other day...

They are large in size, 13x18", are printed on both sides, and could be used for a variety of things.

I made this cute decoration last year out of a gift bag from Target's dollar spot...

I just cut off the front and framed it for a quick and easy "chalkboard" print.

And no, I'm not decorating for Christmas quite yet. This pic is from last year. :)

Oh y'all...this pic below is my happy place. A collection of good books, a little pilfered Halloween candy, a cable knit pillow and a soft, cozy pom pom throw. That's the perfect Fall afternoon in my book. :)

One more thing...I have to share this pretty pic with y'all. We had some truly wicked weather over Halloween weekend, then the next day, this double rainbow appeared right in my backyard...

Love when that happens!

Y'all have a great week!

  1. I love sweet posts like this. We need more coffee cups in our house. This time of year we drink coffee all day and I'm quick to stick them in the dishwasher. That means more and more cups out of the cabinet all day.

Love that bag! I'm going to look for them. Be sure and share more of these great finds.

  2. I saw that mug on clearance and thought it was too cute but since I had just bought a couple of mug sets I passed it up...kinda regretting that now lol.

I must let you know that this was the first blog post Ethan "read" with me. He thought the double rainbow was really cool ;)

  6. That rainbow is gorgeous. Gotta love the dollar store for great finds and the mug from Target is too cute. That would make for a great Christmas gift with a Starbucks or Dunkin gift card attached. Super cute. Happy Friday.

  7. I have an "addiction" to coffee mugs! :) I guess...I know...this is crazy but I have seasonal mugs. I was just thinking yesterday I should change out a few. The one you have is great! Love the gift bag idea for framing. I frame cards a lot but haven't thought of the gift bags. I gave my daughter the same pom pom throw ~ she loves it! Isn't it wonderful to just take some time and zone out with a book?

The rainbow is stunning! I always love seeing them. Let's hope the weather is a bit calmer today. :) Have a wonderful weekend!

  8. Cute mug, but I especially like those gift bags and the clever way you used one last year! Great way to spend a cool Fall afternoon.....I've had the most heavenly naps the last 2 days, snuggled in a cozy throw, as we've had some much cooler weather!

  11. Oh, that mug is darling and I'm going to look for the bags. I know my (adult) kids love to rip off that paper but bags are so much easier!!!

You asked about the whipped frosting on my cupcakes and I'm so sorry I didn't get back to you right away. If I'm doing company/holiday baking I use my own frosting recipes, but for spur of the moment I use store bought and this 'Whipped' brand is awesome (can't remember the name brand). It's so fluffy and smooth, it goes on great and looks so pretty. If you want to add coloring, it's beautiful. Go for it! :)
