Graduation Party/Gift Ideas

With graduation season approaching us, I thought I'd post a few pics of my son's graduation last year. Maybe some of you might get a few ideas. :) All pics enlarge when clicked.

My sweet, sweet best neighbor in the whole wide world made this for my son. :) Isn't it darling? I thought it was so very clever! I loved the use of all the candy bars!

This is just a simple banner I purchased at Dollar Tree.

We just had a small family party at our house. Here's the main food table. The plates, napkins, and table cloth came from Dollar Tree and I think I got the class of 2012 sign at Michael's. We had bunco buns, pickle spears, strawberries with fruit dip, chips, lemonade, and cupcakes. The graduation cap picks came from Party City, I think. It was awhile ago and before blogging, so I didn't think to write stuff down. :) I also framed his graduation announcement to put on the table. If you enlarge the pic and look closely, you can see the "class of 2012" ribbon on the plate/napkin holder. I got it at Michael's. I used it around the dress me up plate in the pic below too.
This pic is actually blurry on purpose. :) But I wanted you to see how I displayed all my son's first day of school pics from pre-school through 12th grade. I just spray painted a large frame, then attached some twine across it. (I just taped the twine to the backside of the frame) then I attached all his 1st day of school pics with mini clothespins. You can't really see it in these pics, but I also put a 2012 sticker (purchased at Walmart) on each plastic cup.
Almost forgot to add this cute outdoor sign. I think we got it at Party City.
Just another table decoration we got at Dollar Tree. We pretty much purchased everything at either Dollar Tree, Walmart, Michael's, or Party City.

Here's a close up of the cupcakes I made. I think I got the cupcake liners at Michael's and I made the little picks by using my punch on some red scrap book paper. I attached the punched out shape to a toothpick with tape. Then I stuck a graduation cap sticker  on it. The stickers came in a pack of 20 or so at Walmart. It was an assorted pack and I think some stickers had a grad cap and others said "2012."

Well, that's all for now! Thanks for visiting!
