Around The House...Christmas Version

Just wanted to share a few pics from around the house.

I've had so much fun playing around with little vignettes here and there.

I splurged and had whipped cream and sprinkles on my coffee one morning!

I finally had some spare time for wrapping gifts...

I had to share this pic of Holly. She was just chilling out, admiring the tree and then I noticed she was looking right at an ornament with a picture of Chelsea, our last cat. Chelsea joined our family in 1991 and lived for 16 years. I thought it was sweet that Holly was almost nose to nose with her in this pic. :)

Each year, we make an ornament that represents something significant that happened that year. We've done this every year for the 25 years we've been married. I buy those clear ornaments in bulk. They come apart and we fill them with little trinkets and/or a picture that represents the significant thing and snap it back together, tie some red ribbon on it, write the year, and hang it from the tree.

The annual ornaments cover a variety of things. Some years, we had big things, like when our sons were born and some years, it's little things (like Chelsea joining our family). And some years, we've had two things in the ornament because it was just too hard to pick one. It's so much fun to look back at all the ornaments and see all the graduations, births, pet additions, awards, new homes, etc. that have happened over the years.

I'll be back early next week with my Christmas tablescapes. Hope y'all have a great weekend!
