New Rug Pads From Rug Pad USA

Hi everyone! Is the weather heating up in your area? We've been hitting the 90's already. The A/C will now be working hard until sometime in November when it finally cools down again. :)

Remember when I shared pics of the new rugs I got for the foyer and by the back door? Here's a pic of them...

I still love them, but can I let you in on a little secret?

Yes. I never bothered to get an actual rug pad for them. I was just using cup up scraps from a cheap rug pad purchased years ago. I know. Totally my bad. :)

Because of that, here's what happened oh, probably 5 or 6 times a day...

Really, Holly? She looks innocent, right? Not so much. Holly would constantly roll around on those rugs, bunching them all up. Ugh. I had to rearrange them all the time. Even when people would simply wipe their feet upon entering our home, the rug would squish all up. Nice.

So, luck was definitely on my side when I received these rug pads from RugPadUSA.

They were cut to size and ready to go right out of the box.

Here's a closer look. Something that was nice was that there was no smell to them. You know how sometimes when you buy something new and it has that "chemical" smell? I once bought an egg crate topper for my mattress and it was like that. Well, these had no smell at all. I was able to use them immediately.

And here are my rugs with the new rug pads underneath them. Something else I noticed was that the rug pads are nice and cushy, so it actually made my inexpensive rugs seem thicker and definitely felt better underfoot. :)

I haven't purchased any rugs for my hardwood floors yet, but I know a lot of you have, so you might want to check out their Rug Pads For Hardwood Floors page.

We've had these for about a week now, and I'm happy to report little Miss Holly cat hasn't messed them up once. We can also wipe our feet without having to readjust the rug (which is great when you have two boys who are constantly going in and out the backdoor)

I've noticed several of my blogging friends are lucky enough to have oriental rugs in their homes. Rug Pad USA carries lots of Oriental Rug Pads too.

And here's some great news...Rug Pad USA is offering my readers a 20% discount! Just enter the code Trade20off at checkout to receive the discount.

Well, I have a date with a big ol' cup of tea and a stack of magazines now. I've been Spring cleaning all week long and this mama deserves a break today. :) Hope y'all have a wonderful day!

  4. Those look like good rug pads. I've never tried those before. I like that they add thickness to the rugs for a thicker feel.

  5. Thank you for sharing this information, Lisa. I have one of those carpets in the kitchen that needs a little something to keep it in place. Your rugs are beautiful. Happy Mother's Day!. BTW how is your nephew doing?
