Some Pretty Fabric, A Glitter Pumpkin, and A Cool Knife

I've been wanting to replace the valances in my kitchen with curtains for awhile now. I found this pretty fabric the other day, so I decided to go for it and attempt to make some curtains. And by "make" I mean use Heat n Bond and not touch a sewing machine at all. :)
I just love this pretty fabric! (I actually just finished making the curtains and will share them soon.)
After I bought the fabric, I went to Big Lots and they had this planter that matched my fabric, so I had to get it.
I've had this ivy in the plain white planters on top of the fridge for awhile now, but I've been wanting to combine them into one big pot.
Here it is in the new, bigger, prettier planter. :) Much better!

I've got a ton of Fall decor, but I couldn't resist these cute pumpkins at Dollar Tree! I had to get it because of the glitter. :)

My neighbors recently went to Alaska and brought me back this cool knife.

It's very sharp and will cut anything. I love it! Have y'all ever used a Ulu knife? It's so cool!

That's it for now. I'm going to try to have the new kitchen curtains post up this weekend, so be sure to check back for that. Have a great day!

  4. I love the fabric you selected for your valances. If it's grey and white, it gets my vote! Can't wait to see them when they're done. Cute planter too. What were the odds of you finding one to match your fabric???

  6. I can't wait to see the curtains! I can't sew, so I use the heated mesh, too. The planter is fantastic! How neat that it matches. Pretty soon you will be spotting and adding more damask. I just ordered a table runner from a blogger in this pattern! Love it!
