Just popping in today to share a few things. I have a wonderful spicy pretzel recipe to share with you. It's probably one of the easiest recipes you'll ever make. :)
Here are the ingredients you'll need:
Put the pretzels in a gallon ziplock bag and combine all other ingredients. (I'll have the full recipe after the pics)
I just whisk everything together.
Next, pour liquid over pretzels, close bag, and shake well.
Pour out onto a cookie sheet (I lined mine with parchment paper, but it's not necessary) and bake in a 300 degree oven for 15 min.
They don't even have to be in a single layer. As you can see, mine are kind of piled on top of each other.
As soon as they come out of the oven, place on paper towels to cool, then store in a ziplock bag.
Here's a close up. You can see all the spices. Oh, these are so good! My kids make them disappear very quickly. :)
These would be great to give as gifts to teachers, neighbors, co-workers, or even as a hostess gift.
I put some in a little bag and tied it up with some ribbon and a pretty little card. You could easily fill at least 3 of these bags with one 16 oz. bag of pretzels.
Here's the official recipe:
SPICY PRETZELS:
One pound pretzels
One packet Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix (the dry mix)
1/2 cup canola oil
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper
Put pretzels in a gallon ziplock bag. Combine other ingredients. Pour over pretzels and close bag. Toss and coat pretzels. Pour out onto cookie sheet and bake in 300 degree oven for 15 minutes. Place pretzels on paper towels to cool. Store in ziplock bag.
Now for these neat texting gloves...
If you're looking for a stocking stuffer, these are great! They're texting gloves or "touchscreen gloves." You can use all your touchscreen devices while wearing them. I bought these for my hubby for Christmas, but gave them to him early because it got so cold here this weekend. He loves them and says they really work with his iPhone. He can easily swipe, text, etc. while wearing them. He says they're also really warm. I got them on Amazon for about $10. Oh, and he says he can very easily play Words With Friends with them too. ;)
My aunt sent me a link to some pretty awesome household tips. I sat and read the whole list and learned quite a few neat tips and tricks. One of my favorites was this one:
Simply place a folded post it note under the drill to catch all the debris. Brilliant! (I actually made my hubby go get his drill for this little shot. Ha!)
How neat is that? Here's the link to many more:
And last, but not least, here's little Holly in the Christmas tree again this year...
Look at that face! She knows she's being naughty. :) I put that pic on Instagram and now she thinks she's a little diva. :) I share a lot of pics of Holly (and everyday life) on Instagram. You can follow me @texasdecor
And just for laughs, here's Holly at this time last year when she was only about 9 weeks old doing the exact same thing. :)
Sweet baby girl!
I guess that's all for now. Let me know if y'all try those pretzels. They're so good! I like that they're easy to transport too. :)

Holly looks like a little puppet sticking her eyes out. Our dog keeps biting things off the bottom of the tree. She will eat anything!! Those pretzels sound delish! We have a friend who makes those but I never have.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Holly looks adorable! Both pics are super-cute, but the recent one just cracked me up!
ReplyDeleteThat pretzel recipe sounds delish!
I bet my Dad and honey would love these! And me too, we are lovers of all things spicy!
ReplyDeleteLoved this post, Lisa! The pretzels look so good and I really enjoyed reading all the household tips. How clever! I save that link for future reference. Holly looks so cute on the tree! Precious! :)
ReplyDeleteOh!! These pretzels are awesome looking. I've pinned it already! I may bring some to Christmas dinner for snacking on before. The drill tip is just in time as we do those hooks in that closet I painted. No broom necessary! And finally, that Holly girl!! Is she actually IN the tree, as in climbed in it? You know, she still has the face of a kitten. I can see why you are so in love with her!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
XO,
Jane
