Christmas Decor Part 2

Hello again! Today I'm back with Part 2 of my Christmas decor. If you missed part 1, you can see it HERE.

I've been sharing a lot of these pics on Instagram too. If you'd like to follow along, you can find me @texasdecor

This time around, I'm sharing my porch, foyer, dining room, guest bath and master bedroom. The same friend that took some pics in my part 1 post took some of these too. I'm trying to learn a little more about photography. :)

Enjoy the pics! :)

I made this little "joy" decoration with dollar store frames I painted white. I just put some Christmas scrap paper on top of the glass, and glued on some letters from JoAnn's. I also added a little bow at the top. :)

Another deco mesh wreath I made for the front door.

Love these little reindeer my stepdad made for me. :)

This is the tree in the dining room. I'm working on a separate post with all the trees.

I tied these little candle rings to the backs of the chairs with some plaid Christmas ribbon.

Oh, these nutcrackers...they are a thorn in my side. I'm not fond of them at all. My hubby however, LOVES them. Our neighbors had these out for trash pick up one day. Yes, they actually had them standing by the curb waiting for the garbage men to haul them away. My hubby told me he was going to knock on their door and ask if they really were throwing them away. I said "You do that...I'll watch from the front window." LOL!

Well, the guy said his wife was tired of them and they were indeed just throwing them away and my hubby could most certainly have them. Oh joy. They're just so BIG. They're very heavy too. Every year, I hope my hubby forgets to bring them in from storage, and every year, they're the first thing he brings in. Lovely.

life size nutcrackers

There's one of the nutcrackers just staring at me trying to freak me out. :)

I love this little light up village. We bought almost everything at Garden Ridge over 20 years ago, except for back then, it was called Pottery Mart.

This is the guest bath. I wasn't thinking when I redecorated it in blue and brown how hard it would be to incorporate my Christmas decor. Well, that just meant that I got to go shopping for blue Christmas decor. :)

I actually made these pictures. I just put some Christmas scrap paper in the frame and literally taped a flat ornament on top. Easy peasy. :)

Here's another one:

I added some blue glittery pinecones and a few blue snowflake ornaments to this box.

Sweet little Dollar Tree snowmen.

Some guest napkins. (also from Dollar Tree)

And last, but not least, the blue, white, and silver tree in our master bedroom. I'm working on getting the master finished up so I can show you the big reveal soon. :)

You can see my burlap snowflake pillow from Target's Dollar Spot on the chair. :)

    1. Thank you! I still can't believe they were just throwing away perfectly good decorations. I guess they're not that bad. I just wish they were a little smaller. :) Thanks for visiting!

  3. I really enjoyed seeing more of your pretty Christmas decor! I can't get over those huge nutcrackers that someone was going to throw away. Were they crazy?! Those are hard to find and can be quite expensive! What a treat for you to get them for free. At the very least, they should've been donated to charity before throwing them in the trash! I never throw stuff away that I think someone else could use. Your trees are all so pretty. I like the netting you used around them too.

  5. Everything is beautiful, Lisa. You inspire me with the framed letters and ornaments. Your trees are beautiful, too, each one done differently. That is too weird about the Nutcracker's. I know a lot of people here put things to the curb knowing they will be picked up...but those look to be in perfect condition! I like what you did in the bathroom. Mine is blue and white and I thought maybe using silver??

I hope you are far away from the snow. It looks terrible on the news. We are just cooooold!

    XO,
    Jane

  7. It all looks so nice, Lisa! I used one of those flat ornaments on a framed art piece in my guest bath, and I think the color is very similar to yours. I'll be sharing that room soon. Those little reindeer are adorable! Those Nutcrackers are big! Maybe if they were holding some greenery and had a string of lights draped around them, they wouldn't look so menacing......lol!
