What I'm Loving Right Now

Just a collection of things making me happy right now. :)

First up, the new "MacGyver" series. So good to have George Eads back on screen. Love this action packed show so much.

Are y'all watching "This Is Us?" I look forward to it each week. Such a fun twist for a show. Very creative writing. (and yes, that's Jess from GG all grown up!)

For a good laugh, this one fits the bill. "American Housewife" with Katy Mixon. So hilarious! And how about that pink mixer? Love!

I always record "Live with Kelly" when Anderson Cooper co-hosts. He's so down to earth and funny. I love a guy who can be self deprecating. ;)

And it's that time of year again. Boo Berry has invaded my pantry. We like all three, but Boo is my fav.

And for books. This trio by Kate Borden is perfect for the season. Cozy mysteries at their finest. I love how she describes this quaint little town and all the people in it. Couldn't put them down and now I'm reading them again.

Death of a Tart, Death of a Turkey, and Death of a Trickster by Kate Borden.

My favorite morning routine right now is Texas pecan coffee with a splash of Pumpkin Spice creamer. So good!

Our local news anchor, Dominique Sachse has her own YouTube channel where she shares loads of real life makeup and hair tutorials. I spent a whole afternoon watching these last weekend.

Dominique Sachse makeup recommendations

And because Dominique recommended it, I bought a matte eye shadow palette. (I don't think she recommended this exact one, but this is what I chose and I love it) I was using some with a little sparkle to it, but this is much better for daytime wear.

Ah, the joys of laundry. Ha! I recently started using this Arm & Hammer Plus Oxi Clean in Fresh Scent and it smells amazing! It cleans really well too, but the scent is what keeps me buying more.

Also, my son just took a scuba diving class in high school. They had all the tanks and equipment and got to experience being under water for an extended period of time. How neat is that? It was part of his Aquatic Science class. My oldest son also got to do this in his Environmental Science class when he was a senior. They sure didn't have that when I was in high school. Lucky ducks. :)

What are you loving right now?

P.S. My fall home tour post is almost ready and I'll try to publish it later this week.

  1. Love all your favorites,Lisa. Do you know I never watched the Gilmore Girls until I heard about it a week or so ago. I watched episode 1/season 1 and know I will be hooked by episode two. lol Haven't seen any of the shows you talk about here but will look for them now.

  2. I should probably try the matte eye shadows too. Mine has more sparkle to it. I'll have to check out that video. Those are always fun to watch. I cannot watch Kelly Ripa anymore. After her unprofessional stunt of being a no show while she was pouting over Michael Strahan leaving I lost all respect for her. She makes millions of dollars a year and then acted like some victim of no respect at her job over something as petty as Michael deciding to persue another job opportunity. She would wear clothing and carry books that included subtle hints of her disdain for the situation. I thought her true colors came out and it proved that she thinks she is a diva and was mistreated somehow. I wish she had been fired for it! She should be more appreciative for the high paying job she has for basically goofing off on camera! Sorry for ranting but I'll never be a fan of her anymore because of that. And.........someone needs to give her a sandwich! Ha!

  4. Good Morning Lisa. Love all your faves. I am hooked on This is Us. Love that show so much. Love the twist at the end of each episode. Great writers. Wow I wish they had those fun things in High School for us too. I think science would have been so much more fun to learn. Have a great new week ahead.

  6. We are watching This Is Us, myself and my daughter separately. It connects us. What channel is American Housewife on? Looks so good. I've always used the liquid Arm And Hammer laundry detergent. Love it and the price! Oxy clean is my savior as I love to cook and garden and always look like a frightful mess with my clothes.

Love your posts...makes us think and try new things!

  7. I'm looking forward to the new Gilmore Girls short series! We just finished the whole series, all seasons. Never watched it back when it was actually on t/v. But it was great...we loved it. We also are watching Heartland. Just finished the most recent season Netflix has of it...and there are a few more seasons....so will be impatiently waiting for those. Dont watch much other tv other than those. I prefer oldies like Happy Days and old re--runs of Andy Griffith etc.
