I have a bunch of random things to share today. First off, I texted this pic to my boys the other day with the caption "A good southern gentleman always knows the proper way to set a table. Keep this on your phone in case of emergency." Hee hee!
It's true though, you always want to know the proper place for things if you're ever asked to help set a formal table. :)
Have y'all tried this hairspray?
Freeze It Original Freeze
It's the best. Major hold without being sticky.
I'm on the hunt for some winter boots. I want a plain brown knee high boot, but can't seem to find any I like. If you have any suggestions, let me know.
On the subject of shoes, have y'all heard of the shop "Call It Spring?" They have really neat shoes for women and men. I just got my boys these shoes...
They needed something they could wear with khakis for a dressier look, but also with jeans or shorts. These are exactly what we were looking for. Very versatile. Here's the Call It Spring website:
Here's a quick medicine trick from when my boys were little. You know when you're giving your child liquid medicine and you measure it out in that plastic cup it comes with? Well, I would always measure it out, then my kids would drink from that cup, then I would have to wash it really well so the germs wouldn't stick and it would be clean for the next person who took a dose.
Well, then I figured out it was much easier to first measure it out in the cup it comes with (always use the measuring cup that comes with the medicine) then I would pour it into a paper cup to administer it to my kids. That way, they could drink it and throw away the paper cup and I would only have to rinse the measuring cup and it was good to go for the next use.
I still use this trick when we're taking liquid medicine. Actually, that medicine in the pic above is for kids, but it works so well, we all still use it (just in bigger doses) Lol!
And one last thing. Do you ever worry about buying a used car because you're not sure if it has any recalls on it? This website is so useful...
Just click on "vehicle shoppers" at the top and it'll bring you to this page...
From there, click on "search for recalls by VIN." You just put in the VIN (vehicle identification number) to quickly learn if a specific vehicle HAS NOT been repaired as part of a safety recall in the last 15 years. Even if you're not buying a used car, you can put in the VIN of the current car you're driving to find out if there are any recalls you missed.
And that's all the PSA's I've got for today. Ha! Y'all have a good week!
