My Future Filmmaker and House Pics

Are y'all getting ready for Fall? With football season back in full swing at the high school, it seems like fall is closer than ever now. I know I'm ready for the cooler temps. I thought I'd share this pic of my youngest son. He's a senior in high school and has a job with our school district filming football games/track meets/graduations, etc. at our stadium and projecting them up on the jumbo screen for everyone to see. They are fortunate to have some awesome camera equipment and a state of the art control room above the stands. Sometimes he's on the field filming, and sometimes he's in the control room directing, etc. He loves it! He's still taking a film class at school and it takes up three class periods a day. He's loving his senior year! Here's a pic of him in action...

I shared this pic of my laundry room on IG recently...

See all those paper towels??? I do so well with recycling and trying to be green, but I can't give up my paper towels. I've tried, but I just can't do it.

I'm still enjoying my chandy makeover...

I've also been taking a few pics around the house before all the fall decor comes out. I always take "before" pics so I'll remember where all my "everyday" decor goes after the holidays. My house is in holiday decor mode from September through January, so come the new year, I usually forget where everything went. Lol!

It's nice to have pics to look back at to refresh your memory.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Lisa, I wish your son great luck with his passion to film. I love your wonderful laundry room. I miss having one. My laundry is in the basement..zzz. I love the blue touches in your home. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
p.s. paper towels are essentials in my home. I safe back ones that maybe held a cookie at cookie break and use to wipe out any dish, going into the dish water.

  2. What an exciting time for your son! And, to be able to follow his dream while still in high school is such a gift. You have got to be so very proud of him! Love your dining room chandelier makeover - your room looks so calm and inviting. And, I'm with you regarding paper towels - have tried to give them up but am just not there yet. Have a great day!

  3. Now that looks like a great way to spend senior year and an exciting career path! You are lucky that your school offers this course. I love it when districts invest in the arts!! Btw...I am with when it comes to paper towels. We use hand towels and dishcloths whenever possible, but you're right, there are some things only a paper towel can do. For me, anyway! ;)

  5. hi Lisa.....I think that is absolutely so very cool and so neat how the school has him doing that...what an learning opportunity...may help him so much in the future and if not---what a great hobby/skill! I'm with you girlfriend on the paper towels.......we recycle and cut down and re-use and conserve and ALL THAT.........but I will NOT GIVE UP MY PAPERTOWELS. I use them GENEROUSLY and just dont feel slopping wet/damp/full of germs and bacteria rags/sponges/etc. is as CLEAN. Do you?? I dont LIKE TO PUT NASTY towels/rags etc. in my laundry to wash them/re-use either. I'm just way picky that way. LOL

  11. All very pretty Lisa, and yes, I do recycle a lot, but there are just some dirt and grime that needs to be thrown out asap, and paper towels ( and clorox wipes) just does the tricK!Your fine in my book!
