The lighting was just right yesterday afternoon, so I stepped outside and snapped a few quick pics of my backyard blooms...
Red Turk's cap (the wind was blowing and my flowers kept getting out of focus, so I finally gave up and snapped this one anyway)
And a variety of Lantana...
My little Shrimp plant is even making a come back...
This purple Society Garlic is so easy to grow and it loves the sun...
Not sure what these orange blooms are, but they show off all summer long...
My Vitex trees are this close to blooming. I'll share a few pics when they make their appearance. They put on quite the show. :)
What's blooming in your neck of the woods?
~Lisa
Beautiful! Your yard always makes me a little green with envy.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful yard, Lisa! It is just gorgeous. I see a few tulips have poked their heads up here -- and a few daffodils-- but that is about it. We are having a very late spring. Not a leaf on the tree yet either. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteLisa, Your flower gardens are beautiful. I love all the colors too. The bottle brush tree is so pretty. I love when so many things bloom at once. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteWow, Lisa. You have a lot of color in your pretty yard...and sunshine! :) We have been stuck in a rainy cycle for far too long. The only color outside of my window right now is gray.
ReplyDeleteYou have such a beautiful yard! I can't believe all the blooms you have already!??! My knock out roses just started blooming two days ago and today I saw a peony getting ready to bloom.

Oh so beautiful. Love all the color.

So beautiful, Lisa! Our region's mild temps are doing wonders for plants and flowers, aren't they? Your colorful oasis is stunning!
ReplyDeleteSpring has sprung in Long Beach, California too! I just love all the color in our yard. Our roses have gone crazy this year. I also wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your blog. You’re so down to earth and share such fun stories and information. Thank you! Blessings to you are your family.
ReplyDeleteYour comment just made my day! Thank you so much! You're lucky to be in California (my favorite state!) where you can grow so many things. There's a lot we can't grow here because of the heat. I bet your roses are beautiful!
DeleteYou have the prettiest yard! And plants I've only heard of and read about. Plumbago! Love the name!
ReplyDeleteWe are just getting warm here but the rain is incessant! Grrrrr...

My bottlebrush blooms are nearly their end, it's getting too hot. My vinca's are beautiful right now and my sweet pea bushes are doing really well. Of course, the red yucca are at their peak! Your gardens are beautiful, such lovely and colorful blooms! Blessings to you, Cindy xo
ReplyDeleteLisa, your yard is so pretty. Beautiful plants! I wish I had a green thumb like you... :) Take care, Maria
ReplyDeleteI love your bottle brush tree, Lisa! We had one in our front yard at our previous house, and the hummingbirds absolutely loved it! Now we have a bottle brush bush (yeah, try saying that more than once), and it is in full bloom. Everything in your yard looks so lush and green....just lovely!
ReplyDeleteWarm hugs and have a great weekend!
Carol
You are lucky to have so much blooming at the same time in your yard. It all looks so pretty. You named some plants that I've never heard of before. It's possible that they aren't native to my area.
ReplyDeleteSo many pretty things in your yard!! Love seeing them. Going to be a hot and sunny day here
ReplyDeleteYour yard is beautiful, Lisa! Looks like an oasis! I'm trying to get more perennials so we don't have to buy as many flowers every year.
ReplyDeleteKendra @ www.joyinourhome.com
Thanks, Kendra! I love using perennials too. They save a ton of money. Flowers just make me happy. :)
DeleteThe plant with the orange flowers that blooms all summer is called Bulbine. I'm fixing to divide some of mine. I love that plant. Never lets me down!
