Hi everyone! Well, both my cameras are broken, so I'm down to posting pics taken with my iPhone. :) I think I'll just replace the body on my Canon camera. Not sure why it quit working after only two years. Anyway, here's a look at my St. Patrick's Day decor this year.
Love this little welcome sign by the front door. :)
I just drew a little shamrock on this chalkboard tray and attached a little glitter shamrock with a dab of hot glue. I also added some shamrock ribbon.

Here's the kitchen chalkboard with some green St. Pat's scrapbook paper in it. I think I've been able to change this paper up for just about every holiday. Sorry about the blurry photo. :)
I couldn't leave out this tray in the kitchen. It usually gets a little something for each holiday. :)
After searching high and low, I finally found a live Shamrock plant! This one is called "shamrock oxalis." Now I just need Diana to tell me how to care for it. :)
Those are just window clings on the plate. They make a nice temporary decoration, then I can just peel them off and keep them until I use them again next year.
I didn't really know what to do with this shamrock plate, so I just stuck it on top of my cake plate.
Here's a closer look...
Well, that's all my St. Pat's decor this year. Hope y'all have a wonderful weekend!

Cute!! Your Iphone pics are actually very good. :)
ReplyDeleteWow- You got a whole lotta St. Paddy's Day going on there. It looks great..and I love your garland. I don't think I am going to do too much more because I will be away from home (with the new baby) for the Holiday. Love it.
ReplyDeleteOkay- Shamrock plant- needs very bright light (but not direct hot son). Keep it moist but not soaked. Don't let it dry out completely. I usually pour a few tablespoons of water a day into mine. Also- as soon as a bloom is done or a leaf look wilty-pull it out. You will see there are little "tubers" on the surface of the soil. Those are NOT grubs or worms-lol-they are the "root base" of your plant. The plants go through a dying down period after a while...but...if you want to keep it-toss a wee bit of dirt on top of those tubers and just keep it moist and in the sun and a whole new plant will emerge. Sometimes they just keep going forever-but die back is quite common. They "close up" at night (make sure you look for that-that's normal) IF your plant "closes up" during the day or "lays down" it needs more light...and that, my dear, is all I know about that! xo Diana
Love the Irish touches you have added around your home.....I have never seen a shamrock plant before!!! It is very pretty.......
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

You've got a nice collection of St. Patricks Day decorations displayed throughout your home. I really like the shamrock plant you found. That's really pretty.
ReplyDeleteOh, my...everything looks amazing...I am totally ashamed to say that I have only a tiny bit of table decorations for St. Patrick's Day. I need to make a cute garland for my mantel....maybe today.
ReplyDeleteSee, you've inspired me !! lol

I really like your St Patrick's Day decorations. Thanks for sharing your great ideas with us.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kim! I pretty much purchased all of my St. Pat's decor after St. Patrick's day when it was on sale for next to nothing. It's kind of fun to decorate for the smaller holidays. :)
DeleteYou have so many cute things!! Having those little chalkboards to change up is so cool. I love your plant, too. I don't know much about them but I know someone who has had one for years.
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering where you found that tiny lamp on the tray on your counter. I have been looking for something small like that, too, and it's driving me crazy!
XO,
Jane
Cute! I love how you decorate for every holiday! I'm to lazy so the house only gets a decor change for Fall and Christmas! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThe St. Patrick's Day decorations are really cute, Lisa! I don't know why, but I've never done much or any decorations for this holiday. I do really like shamrock plants, but as I said on Instagram, Abby eats them.....lol! In my St. Patty's Day defense, I do have a corned beef that I plan on cooking!
ReplyDeleteLove it, everything looks so cute! You have a beautiful home also...Would love to have you stop over for a visit sometime!
ReplyDeleteLove your shamrock banner on your mantel. the green looks so pretty against the white paint. and chalkboards are so great for decorating! The little plant is very sweet.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Deborah! Those chalkboards are so versatile. I love switching them up for all the holidays. I hope I can keep that little shamrock plant alive for a long time. :) Thanks for visiting!
