Thanksgiving Decor

Hi Everyone! I have a ton of pics to show you today. I finally got all my Thanksgiving decor out, so sit back, relax, and enjoy the pics. :)

I have a rule that after Halloween, any pumpkin with a face (jack-o-lantern) has to go back in storage, but plain pumpkins can stay out until after Thanksgiving. :)

There's Holly cat getting in the photo again. :) It's hard to tell in this pic, but that pumpkin is silver. I love the little "count your blessings" cross I got at Kirklands a couple of years ago on clearance.

This is the buffet in the dining room.

Here's the Fall Basket I made recently using clearance pumpkins from Kirklands and some ribbon.

I love the yellow sparkly pumpkin on that table, and you can see  How We Painted Our Pantry Door Black in the background.

Here's an overview of the dining room.

There's the flower pic my son took with his iPhone and Turned Into A Poster for me.

My dough bowl that I missed so much and Had To Bring Back Out. :)

I love changing this wire basket up for the seasons.

That "Happy Thanksgiving" print is actually a card someone gave my mom and she saved it for me because she knew I'd want to use it in my decor somehow, and she was right! I just stuck it in a frame and had an instant Thanksgiving decoration.

You can kind of see Holly's Custom Pet Frame above her food bowl in the bottom left of this pic. I had so much fun making that for her. :)

This little turkey came from Michael's a couple of years ago.

Sometimes I find him like this...

You can see my No Sew Kitchen Curtains in the background.

Another thing I like to change up for the seasons is this chalkboard that I Did A Little Makeover On.

At the last second, I decided to switch it up and add this Harvest Blessings tassle thingy to my lamp in the kitchen. That "Welcome Fall" plate is actually one of my Window Clings that I just slapped up there temporarily. :)

Wow, that was a lot of pictures. I can't believe Thanksgiving is almost here! I usually start decorating for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving. What about y'all? When do you start decorating for Christmas? Or have you already started?

  3. Oh, Lisa, everything looks so pretty! Are you hosting family and friends at your home for Thanksgiving? I kind of miss the whole hosting-thing, but 40+ years is probably enough. Besides, this way I get to start the Christmas decorating early, and I will be hosting Christmas Eve here.

Holly is kind of like Abby. She won't exactly pose but manages to get in lots of my photos!

I still have some pumpkins and a few fall decorations. Nothing for Thanksgiving except for a turkey plate and two quail! lol!

  6. Your home is so pretty all dressed for Fall. I think the colors of your home lend themselves well to the Fall colors too. I don't start decorating until after Thanksgiving for Christmas. I like to take one holiday at a time.

  7. Hi, Lisa, your home looks very festive and very warm and inviting. I love the colors of your walls. I'm with you about jack-o-lanterns after Halloween, but I cheat and turn them around so they face the walls then they look just like a regular pumpkin..Happy Sunday..Judy

  11. My kitchen is too small to decorate, I really like your kitchen and the cream appliances. I am not a stainless steel person. I remodeled my kitchen I chose cream appliances.
