Kitchen Before and After Pics

A few of you have asked for some before and after pics of our kitchen and I thought that was a great idea! It certainly has gone through a transformation this last year. So here are lots of before and after pics from every angle.

Before...

Brown laminate counters, white appliances, oil rubbed bronze faucet and double basin white sink.

After...

Quartz counters with ogee edge, stainless steel appliances, single basin farmhouse sink and industrial faucet.

That KitchenAid stainless steel refrigerator with the red medallions on the ends of the handles is my favorite part. :)

We've had our new appliances for about 4 months now and are very happy with them. I won't bore you with all the details, but if you want to read all about our KitchenAid appliances, click HERE to see that post.

I don't know what it is about those red medallions, but I had to have them on all the appliances.

Here's a really close up of the quartz...

Our quartz is by Daltile and the color is Riverbank.

I love the difference it made! And if you want to go really far back, here's a way-back before of this same shot...

White laminate counters, white appliances, maple cabinets, checkerboard backsplash and cream colored linoleum. But you know what? I still loved it. :)

Hope you enjoyed this trip down memory lane. Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Great before and after friends. The medallions go back to the start of the Kitchenaid mixers they are known for. You can actually order them in two other colors if red isn't your thing ;-)

  2. I always love looking at your kitchen. I though it was beautiful before and I didn't think it could get any prettier until I saw the new countertop and appliances. The way, way back picture is great, too. I didn't know that's where you started!

  4. Hi Lisa,
I think your kitchen was pretty before but now it is stunning. I love how the counter color ties in with the stainless steel and I too love the medallions at the ends too. I bet you smile every morning when you go into your pretty kitchen.

  6. I love your kitchen, so beautiful! How do you wash and rinse your dishes with having the farmhouse sink? I am in the process of building my home and debating on whether or not to go with the farmhouse sink. Thank you for sharing.

    1. Thank you so much! All I ever really do is rinse my dishes and put them in the dishwasher. I don't do dishes by hand unless it's a single pot or something like that. But I'm sure you could get a plastic tub to put on one side of the sink to wash/rinse with. You'll love all the room a farmhouse sink provides. :)
