Well, after seeing hot cocoa stations/bars all over blogland, I finally decided to make one of my own. :)
My kids were over the moon excited about this idea! I think it's going to become a new tradition.
I had this little table in my dining room and it was the perfect spot for a little hot cocoa action. (if you missed my Christmas Home Tour, you can see Part 1 HERE and Part 2 HERE)
This Christmas Countdown chalkboard was one of many things I bought on my Target Dollar Spot Run
I got these little mason jars with gold lids at Dollar Tree and just tied some red and white baker's twine around the top.
This little scoop is from Lillian Vernon about 10 years ago.
My mom bought the boys these reindeer spoons many years ago. :)
You've got to have some Hershey's Kisses in your hot chocolate, right?
This little snowman basket holds candy canes.
I used a couple of Christmas napkins on top of the table.
So, we have hot chocolate mix, mini marshmallows, candy canes, and Hershey kisses. Yum!
Here's how the table looked before I started loading it up with all the goodies.
And here's my secret...I wanted the items to be a staggered height, so I elevated some with a box of plastic spoons, a box of chocolate baking squares, and a box of chocolate chip muffin mix. Hey, use what works, right? :)
Now you know my secret. :) Thanks for stopping by!

I bet your kids have already started using that haven't they? It looks very nice and I think you've thought of every detail.
ReplyDeleteSo clever! Ours would run out in a day!
ReplyDeleteLove the mason jars!
This is such acute idea and fits so nicely in this corner. My kids would have gone crazy over this back in the day. Now they hang around more by the wine rack! lol!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
So cute! I have a chocolate table, too! Now why didn't I think of that?!
ReplyDeleteSuper cool!
Hugs,
Patti
That is so cute, Lisa! You know, I think your giant nutcracker actually looks less imposing sitting there next to your cute Cocoa Station! Have you gotten any of the cocoa mixes at World Market? I was in there a few days ago and there are so many choices. They have different size containers, but what I really liked was that they have 2-serving packets so you can sample before you buy a larger container. Chocolate Hazelnut and Salted Caramel are VERY good!
ReplyDeleteI love it! We're having the whole family here for Christmas, including lots of kids, they'd love this! I'd love it if you'd share this at my "History & Home Party" this Tuesday - Friday, hope to see you there. Merry Christmas - Dawn @ We Call It Junkin.com
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Love the table too.

Who doesn't love hot cocoa! Great idea, thanks so much for sharing at Amaze Me Monday!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas sweet friend!
Blessings,
Cindy
That's a darling table...I've never seen another like it. Wonderful idea to have a hot cocoa bar!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute idea! Silly question ... do you keep the hot water for making the cocoa there on the little cocoa station as well? Am guessing you can just keep the water hot in a cute carafe. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteIf there are a lot of people wanting hot cocoa, I'll fill the carafe with hot water and keep it on or near the hot cocoa station. But if I'm just going to fix a couple of cups, I'll usually just heat the water on the kettle on the stove. Thanks for the sweet comment! :)
DeleteI love this idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kim! We're having a stormy day today and it's making me crave some of that hot cocoa! :)
