Hello! Did everyone have a nice Thanksgiving? We sure did. The day after Thanksgiving, we got out our Christmas decor. I worked on the inside while the boys put up lights outside. My youngest looks forward to putting up the lights all year long. :)
I split this up into two posts. Today I'm sharing the Christmas decor in my living room and kitchen. Be sure to check back soon because up next, I'll be sharing my porch, foyer, dining room, guest bath and master bedroom all decked out for the holidays. I actually had a friend take some of these pics, so maybe they'll be a little better than normal. :)
Here are a ton of pics...enjoy! :)
That snowflake plate is actually plastic. It came from Target a few years ago.
I know several of you have this same reindeer ornament from Dollar Tree. :)
I made the wreath using deco mesh and wired ribbon.
These little birds came in a set of three. I'll show you the third one in a minute.
There's the 3rd little bird. :)
Love filling my dough bowl with different things for the holidays.
That's my burlap pail from Target's dollar spot.
And there's the white snowflake one from the dollar spot.
I always do a gingerbread/peppermint themed tree in the kitchen. I'll do a whole separate post on the individual trees.
I got this "let it snow" frame idea from Melissa at 320 Sycamore Blog.
I love this little snowman with the dangling legs. When I pulled him out of storage, his little carrot nose was missing. Would you believe I was able to find it among the mess of unpacking everything?! I hot glued it back on. :)
I've had this Christmas tree cookie jar for many, many years. I think it came from Walmart.
Of course I had to incorporate a little quote from the movie "Elf" on my chalkboard. Did you notice how I switched out the papers yet again for Christmas? I love this versatile little chalkboard.
I was going to put a dark green wreath on my new pantry door, but my hubby reminded me it might not show up on the dark color. Luckily, I had this pretty wreath my mom gave me a few years ago. It turned out to be the perfect color! Thanks, mom!
I have several of these soft little ornaments around the house. I just added some extra ribbon so it would be large enough to hang on the pantry door knob.
I didn't want to put my new cake plate away, so I just stuck it up on top of the buffet with a couple of candle rings and a candle in the middle.
Well, I guess that's about it for now. I'll be posting part 2 soon. I can't wait to see everyone's Christmas decor!

Thanks for the lovely inspiration. I need to reach deep down and find the remains of the energizer bunny after the last few weeks of busy, busy, busy.
ReplyDeleteJoining you from Inspiration Monday.
Everything looks so pretty! I like the way you have ornaments hanging on knobs around the room. I need to do that too. Your house is so tidy!! I'm still in kind of a mess.
ReplyDeleteLisa, It all looks great, I don't think you left out one detail in either room. Love the fire place mantle and the ornament on the door is a great ideal.
ReplyDeleteSandy
Thanks, Sandy! I had fun decorating it all, but now I'm exhausted. :) Thanks for visiting!

ReplyDeleteYour house looks lovely all decked out for the holidays! I bet you had a lot of fun decorating.
ReplyDeleteIt all just looks great! I love the deco mesh on the mantle. This is my first year to use deco mesh and it is the best thing ever! So easy to work with, and it is just so pretty with the sparkling lights!!
ReplyDeleteYou look like you've got everything together which is much more than I can say. You should do a tutorial on your wreath. I bet I'm not the only one who would be interested.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I've thought about doing a little tutorial on that wreath. I mostly watched you tube videos to learn how to do it, but maybe I can do a step by step on the blog. Thanks for the idea!
DeleteEverything looks so fun and festive! I love the Elf Quote on the chalkboard! Your Gingerbread tree is so cute! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteKaren
Lisa, I love how you brought Christmas into all the nooks and crannies of your home - it's all so festive and joyful! We too love that Elf quote and it is heard repeatedly in this house along with "I like to smile - smiling's my favorite" and about 20 other lines from that movie! :0)
ReplyDeleteI hope you are finding the time to enjoy the Christmas season. Thanks so much for sharing your home!!
After seeing your holiday decorations and Stacey's (Steward of Design) I think I'm pretty much obsessed with getting a dough bowl. Love how you decorated yours! And your elf chalkboard is darling. Have a merry Christmas!
