Ramblings

Hey, y'all! Thought I'd share a couple of things today. First of all, I got this cute hobnail mug from Walmart...

I really need to go back and get more. Oh, and see that basil back there? I'm getting ready to make my homemade tomato basil soup. It tastes just like the La Madeleine one. I've posted the recipe before, but you can click HERE to see it again. So yummy and easy!

Second, we finished the diy on our patio pergola cover and it only took about 15 minutes to make/install the new one. I'll take pics soon and do a whole post on it. We're so happy with it! Here's a little sneak peek...

I also shared this on IG the other day...

Remember when Target had these cute plates in the dollar spot at Christmas time? I picked up a four pack and finally got around to using them for a little snack the other day. Now that I remembered I have them, they are coming in pretty handy. :)

Now I have a little money saving tip for you. We recently switched from DirecTV to AT&T U-verse and it saved us about $130 a month! We'll get that introductory price for two years, but here's the thing...even when it shifts to the regular price, we'll still be saving $50 a month! So, it pays (literally) to shop around for service. :)

One last thing...I haven't really mentioned it on here, but I recently started a little diet. It was time, y'all. :) Anyway, I've lost 10 lbs. since June 10th! I'm not following any special program or anything, and it's basically just counting calories, but if y'all are interested, I might do a post on it sometime.

Anyway, wishing you all a very happy weekend!

    1. Thanks, Kendra! That pergola diy was so easy! And at the low price, even if we have to replace it every 6 months or so, it'll be worth it. :)

  4. Definitely give some pointers about the diet!!

I am so glad you were able to save on your Direct TV/ATT situation. Guess what...we have ATT Uverse and when I called about trying to reduce the bill, they suggested we switch to Direct TV. I know the two companies merged so I guess they can play a game with us.

  5. Lisa, You crack me up dieting. Bless your heart. Funny at our nearest AT&T store they have all kinds of signs about joining up your phone, internet and Direct TV. I hate all those TV services...Over priced and nothing to watch. LOL. Well over priced for us...I really run a pretty tight budget here. My daughter and I love tomato basil soup...I am giving her your recipe. Thank you honey, blessings, xoxo, Susie

  7. Congrats on losing 10 pounds already! That was fast! I love the cute mug. I've seen those at Target before too. Sounds like you made a good choice with switching companies. Was that for your cable? We don't use either of the companies you mentioned so I wasn't sure.

  9. Congrats on the weight loss! Yes, please share. :) Love the mug. I bought a set of dishes at JCPenney for our kids as a house warming gifts and it looks identical. Love the idea of the pergola cover. Drop cloth is the best! Take care, Maria
